The Courteeners are a British band formed in Manchester, in 2006 by Liam Fray (guitar/vocals), Michael Campbell (drums/backing vocals), Daniel Conan Moores (Guitar), and Mark Cuppello (bass). All four band members hail from the Middleton area of Greater Manchester, and have known each other since they were ten years old, and are signed to Loog records.
Morrissey visited their concert in London and said afterwards that he liked their music. They also have a song (What took you so long?) in which they mention Morrissey’s name.
Stephen Street reprised his role as producer for standalone single That Kiss, set for release on 29th September 2008. Here is the debut video.
